Support the Savannah Center for Photography
Savannah is full of photographers. Some shoot on phones, some on digital cameras, some on film. Until this year, there wasn't one place built for all of them.
We opened at 2205 Price Street in June 2026 as a nonprofit home for photography in Savannah. People come here to:
learn in our workshops
get honest feedback at group critiques
hear artists talk about their work
join photo walks around the city
see exhibitions in our gallery
Our community darkroom is there for anyone who shoots film. We're also adding more for digital photographers, from editing and printing to building a body of work.
Memberships and class fees cover part of what it costs to keep the doors open. Donations cover the rest. If you've come to a show, taken a class, or just like knowing this place exists, your gift keeps it going.
What your gift does
$25 Covers our chemistry costs for an open studio night
$50 Covers snacks and beverages for movie nights
$100 Covers supplies and materials for a community workshop
$250 Pays an honorarium to an instructor to teach a workshop
$500 Sponsors an exhibition, with your name on the wall
$1,000 Keeps SCP open for about a week
$3,900 Sponsors a full month of rent, utilities, insurance, and supplies
Give monthly
Monthly gifts keep a small organization steady. A gift of $25 a month adds up to $300 a year, and we can plan around it.
