The Savannah Center for Photography enriches Savannah's cultural landscape by advancing the craft of photography. We provide accessible resources, education, and exhibitions that support image-makers at all levels and foster appreciation for diverse photographic work throughout the community.
In service to that mission, our facility will offer a community darkroom, workshop space, and a gallery with rotating photography exhibitions.
Meet Our Board
Joshua Yates
Board Chair
Joshua Yates (He/Him) is a photographer based in Savannah, Georgia. He has been taking pictures ever since receiving a Kodak Disc camera for his 10th birthday. His work has been exhibited nationally, including the Atlanta Photography Group's Focus 2025 and the Houston Center for Photography's 42nd Annual Exhibition, and was awarded 3rd Place at the 2025 Slow Exposures Photo Festival. Prior to founding the Savannah Center for Photography, Yates co-founded and operated Green Truck Neighborhood Pub, an award-winning community-minded burger joint. He previously served on the boards of the Forsyth Farmers’ Market and the Thomas Square Neighborhood Association. He holds an MBA from Georgia State University and a BSIE from Georgia Tech.
Parker Stewart
Treasurer
Parker Stewart (b. 1992) is a photographer based in Savannah, Georgia. A native of North Carolina, Stewart arrived in Savannah in 2011 to study photography at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Stewart’s work is focused on the notion of Place, and he uses photography as a tool to record the moments and scenes that move him the most. Currently Stewart is making photographs of the landscape and culture of the wild Georgia coastline and the rural Savannah River Basin. As well as working on extensive bodies of work in Coastal Maine, Western North Carolina, the Oregon Coast, and the Mojave Desert. In 2025, Stewart presented Tideland: Photographs by Parker Stewart, a solo exhibition at the Telfair Museums' Jepson Center in Savannah, Georgia. Parker is working solely as a photographer and fine art printer in Savannah, Georgia.
Caitie Moore

Caitie Moore is an Artist and Creative Administrator with more than ten years of experience working in museums & arts non-profits. As a curator and facilitator, her work has centered on supporting creatives through all stages of their careers. Returning to Savannah in July 2025, she is currently the Event Coordinator for the Chico Review. After earning a B.F.A. in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2011, she joined the Transformer Station and FRONT International: Cleveland Triennial for Contemporary Art in 2016, managing collections, communications, and exhibitions. She was the Vice President and Chair of Development for Zygote Press, Inc. She is the former Director and Co-Founder of Aint-Bad Magazine. Her project, Nomadic Bookshelf, won Best Small Bookstore by Cleveland Magazine in 2020.
Erin Dunn
Erin Dunn is Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at Telfair Museums in Savannah, GA where she has been a member of the curatorial team since 2014. She has organized numerous exhibitions including Watershed: Contemporary Landscape Photography, Bruce Davidson: Face to Face, and Frank Stewart’s Nexus: An American Photographer’s Journey, 1960s to the Present in collaboration with The Phillips Collection, Washington, DC. Recent museum projects include an installation by multidisciplinary artist Raheleh Filsoofi, a film commission with Allison Janae Hamilton, and the first major exhibition exploring Ossabaw Island's profound impact on artists in the United States during the latter half of the twentieth century. Her writing has appeared in the exhibition catalogue Off the Coast of Paradise: Artists and Ossabaw Island, 1961–Now, Late Night Polaroids: Photographs by Emily Earl and Seven Rivers, a monograph of photographer Ansley West Rivers. In addition, Dunn spearheads Telfair’s #art912 initiative, which raises the visibility and promotes the vitality of artists living and working in Savannah. She has served as a juror for several calls to artists, including the Slowexposures Photography Festival in 2025. From November 2023–May 2026, Dunn operated the Savannah-based contemporary art space Gallery 2424 alongside her partner Ben Walke. Dunn was the recipient of the Fall 2023 Margie E. West Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Georgia’s Lamar Dodd School of Art. She holds a BA from Emory University and an MA from the University of Georgia.
Joshua Lindsey
Savannah-based photographer Joshua Lindsey focuses on visual storytelling to document authentic narratives and moments. As a co-founder of the Savannah Photo Club, he organizes monthly photo walks and "Park Vibes" events. Joshua's events currently draw over 100 local creatives each month. Joshua is also the co-founder and producer of Shade Magazine. His compelling artistic vision and dedication to his craft have earned him features in numerous prominent publications. Whether he is leading a monthly photo walk or producing the yearly edition of The Shade Magazine, his work remains dedicated to fostering a vibrant, inclusive creative ecosystem in the city he calls home.
Steve Bliss
Steve Bliss is an artist and educator based in Savannah, Georgia. His work is typically project-based and photographic; it often incorporates both digital collage and a relatively broad range of subject matters. The evolution of his image-making has been driven by a love of photography’s eloquent rendering of form and space, as well as by an abiding interest in the myriad of conceptual potentials that the arts offer for investigation and dialog. Identifying and following his long-standing affinity for the arts in 1975, Steve has been making pictures for 50 years.
Over the course of his career Bliss has received a number of grants and awards including those from the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia, the Georgia Council for the Arts, Polaroid Corporation, and the Southern Arts Federation. His photographs, digital images and various works on paper are in the collections of museums and private collectors both nationally and internationally. Steve’s imagery has been published in several books, journals and online magazines.
In 2022 Steve was awarded Professor Emeritus status at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and retired after a thirty year career of teaching and administering in their B.F.A. and M.F.A. photography programs. Receiving his M.F.A. from Ohio University in 1982, Steve’s early career included teaching positions at the Kansas City Art Institute, Southern Connecticut State, Hartwick College and S.U.N.Y., Purchase. He taught as resident faculty from 1982-1992 at the Maine Photographic Workshops.
