About Mark Cáceres
Mark Cáceres was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and settled in the United States at an early age. He became interested in photography while studying anthropology as an undergraduate at Emory University, and later earned an MFA from the University of Hartford’s International Limited-Residency program. His studies and his experience as a migrant have shaped his interest in the range of cultures in the U.S. and abroad. His photography raises questions about identity and belief, and asks viewers to find connections in what may seem unfamiliar.
Cáceres’s work has been exhibited in the United States and Europe and has appeared in Oxford American, HuffPost, Lenscratch, Reading the Pictures, and South x Southeast Photo Magazine. He is represented by Spalding Nix Fine Art in Atlanta, where he lives with his wife.
