What the Camera Captures: Grief, Memory, and Narrative

  • Savannah Center for Photography (map)

What can photography capture about grief? What remains beyond the frame? Join curator, grief coach, and author Charlene Lam, creator of The Grief Gallery® and Curating Grief®, alongside Savannah photographers for a conversation about photography, grief, and memory. Through personal projects and images, the panel and open discussion will explore photography as a means of documenting, witnessing, preserving, and reinterpreting loss — and consider the stories photographs allow us to keep, tell, and see differently.

Speakers include Seth Thompson, Quiyi (Olivia) Zhang and more.

6-8pm, Thur Nov 5th

Doors 6pm, panel presentation starts at 6:30pm, followed by open discussion
